It was in Kuala Lumpur and from that moment we became good friends. After meeting them in Tokyo, we kept contact and they introduced me alo to other amazing artists in Asia. Where are you from and where do you live right now (city)?
I(Shin) am from Shiga prefecture, currently living in Koenji Tokyo.
How does the city you live in influence your work?
Tokyo is a big city, and it gives me various influences through daily life.
Would you consider your work as part of an asian style?
Not sure of that, but since our main character is TO-FU, so people might
think that it is Asian.
How do you define your style?
Probably POP?
Any Asian favourite artists?
Kenny Wong, TOUMA, Mori Chack, there are so many names to be listed.
Are you familiar with European/American illustration? If so, can you tell me some artists that you like?
Pete Fowler, Rolito, Tim Biskup, Tokidoki, again, there are so many names to be listed.
What do you think about travelling?
It gives me a lot of inspirations, meeting new people, so I enjoy it very much. Even on our business trip, I look at it as half working, half travelling.
If you were an animal, which one would you like to be? And why?
I would like to fly freely so bird will be the choice.
Which music do you listen to when you work?
70% my favorite music, it is various, and 30% radio.
Your favourite food in your country
Rice.

Kyoto.
